The point was to tell you that you shouldn't have thrown away that hideous stick man scribbles your son made when he was young. Now, nobody would believe it if you say imaginary friends did exist. --- Sarah Ameera

Stage I

Project Title : Rubble Rumble 1.0
Project Theme : Peace

Engine : Adobe Flash
Genre : Platform game
Platform : PC

Concept : Digitally hand-drawn featuring environmental awareness platform game.

Objectives
- to imitate current environmental state in a fun and playful way.
- to indirectly show the importance of cleanliness in our environment.
- to instill good cleanliness values that has been forgotten among kids.
- to expose the game as a stepping stone towards environmental awareness.

Target Audience
- Low to upper middle grade kids; age group between 5-13 years old.
- Intermediate English language audience.
- Computer literate users.

Issue
- To provoke kids to take part in a purposeful conceptual flash-based game.
- To experiment and explore in new media art genre; a lot of scribble graphics and hand-drawn arts.
- Apart from making another self-made hand-drawn type of fun, this game has a purpose to fulfil; to encourage a sense of hygienic consciousness among kids.

Rationale : This game application is made for low to upper middle grade kids who wished to play around and learn about environmental awareness and its importance, which hopefully can later be applied to their daily lives.

Input : Keyboard
Output : Visual, Audio
Viewpoint : FPS, Sideview, Single player
Interactive features : Scores, timer, player movements; back, forth and jump, sound and interactive buttons.

Treatment : For further understanding of this game, I intended to make the gameplay and concept as simple as possible. The following measures are to be taken during the development of the game to achieve the objectives :

- presenting simple hand-drawn concept for visual pleasure which suits the imaginative kids.
- black and white as the colour scheme; colours for the rubbles. Makes rubbish easy to be noticed!
- the mood will be playful although the game is using very limited colours, it utilizes upbeat music for the kids to enjoy.
- a simple aim; to collect as much rubble as targeted and complete the level according to the time limit given. It's not so easy yet not THAT difficult to play.

Video 01 : Refering to the Flash drawing style I'd like to develop.

Backbone Architecture : Adobe Flash reference scripts.
